Why?
Thousands of baby shoes are thrown away each year. Yet there are millions of babies around the world who go without shoes every day. Through Soulful Steps Recycling Program, Gemmina Mia is championing a simple way to address this important social issue. The programs gives mums a convenient way to recycle the shoes that their baby’s have outgrown, while at the same time, reducing waste and helping less advantaged babies.
How does it work?
Through Gemmina Mia’s recycling system, each pair of baby shoes comes with label return address for the baby shoes. After Gemmina Mia babies outgrow their shoes, mums can simply mail them back to the Gemmina Mia address in Geneva. The shoes are then channelled to disadvantaged babies around the world through partner charities and NGOs.
